    Abolfath Mirza Salaroldoleh

    Abolfath Mirza Salaroldoleh was Mozaffaroddin Shah's third son that fought against Conditional Monarchy Movement. Born in Tabriz on Nov, 23, 1879, he was trained as an army officer. He was given the title, Salaroddoleh by Naseroddin Shah. After Mozaffaroddin Shah's succession to the throne, he became governor of Kermanshah but he was dismissed after a year because of his incapability and returned to Tehran. Then he became the governor of Khamseh, Lorestan and Arabia. He was sent to Kurdistan but for the same incompatibility reasons, he was dismissed again. On his return to Tehran, the Constitutional Monarchy Movement had begun. With help from Malekolmotekallemin, he started supporting the dissent. Then Vezir Abdolmajid Mirza Einoddoleh sent him to Lorestan and Boroujerd.After Mozaffaroddin Shah's death, Salaroddoleh revolted against his brother Mohammad Ali Shah. In 1907, he was pardoned and returned to Tehran. With Russian support, he went to France and joined the Freemasons lounge. He continued his support for the Constitutional Monarchy until Mohammad Ali Shah was dethroned. He was expecting to be the next king, but Majlis appointed deposed king, Ahmad Shah’s son as the new Monarch. After his disappointment, He turned to his brother again and tried to re-install him as king. His forces entered Sanandaj in the summer of 1911 and asked the Majlis to recognize Mohammad Ali Shah.Majlis in return, put 25,000 Toman reward for Salaroddoleh’s head. He started playing cats-and-mice with the government for about two years until he escaped to Alexandria in Egypt with Russian help where he died 7 years later.
