    سَکان ، زاغارت

Sagartia, a nomadic tribe in ancient Persia, living in the neighborhood of modern Yazd. Sagartia joined Cyrus The Great against the Medes, in 550 but they revolted against Dariush the Great under Sagartian leader Tritantaechmes. However, they were pacified by general Takhmaspada who was later executedin Arbela. After their betrayal, Sagartian became a subject of Drangians, a Satrapy under the Achaemenid Empire. Still, Sagartians were noticeable for their brightly colored clothes and high boots reaching their knees. Their main weapon was a lasso. The root of the word Zaghart used in Iran as useless may come from Sagartia after their disloyalty. (Wikipedia) - Sagartia Sagartia Scientific classification Species
