    Mounted soldier serving in a unit drafted from Cossack communities but it should not be confused with people of Kazakhstan. Because Kazak army division were primarily selective individuals from different areas such as Russia, Ukraine, and Poland who escaped their feudal landlords in order to live a free life in steppes. Until Napoleon's invasion of Russia, Kazaks were usually given duties such as border patrol. Efficiency of the Kazak power was primarily proved when they created fear among French army with their irregular deadly attacks on regular conscription. Until the end of Tsarist Russia, Kazak was a regular army division.Naseroddin Shah was pleased with Kazak shows during his trip to Europe.
