Image Remarks: A Qajar-era Street Show; Animal circus a Bear is trained to entertain the audience. Dancing Bears are a tragic spectacle, which used to take place but is banned now because of cruelty involved such as piercing of their ultra-sensitive muzzle. Clues&Views:The bear is held down by a group of men while an iron needle, previously heated in a coal fire, is inserted into the squealing bear cub. Then a control rope is shoved into the piercing. When the rope attached to the draumatised bear is tugged and a heavy stick is clapped, the bear is motivated to lift its legs and dance.
